Carol Cirillo-Stanley’s work is both realistic and abstract, Her subjects depict unexpected beauty in life’s common elements. Mannequins, (her muse Lala, abstract flower designs, city-scapes and vacant landscapes appear in her portfolios.

Her portfolios “The Collections” and “Hats and Shots” featuring Lala wearing clothing designed by the artist out of The New York Times, Crate and Barrel wrapping paper, cheesecloth and other “found” designer fabrics, have recently had solo exhibits in Los Angeles at The Fine Arts Building and at The Millinery Guild.   She has been a featured artist at the The Sara Palacios Gallery, Los Angeles, Women in Photography International, and the Irvine Fine Arts Center, Irvine, Ca.  Her work can be seen at  Sara Palacios Designs and Showroom in Los Angeles, at Reflective Image Gallery in Orange County, at the University of California, Irvine, University Club Gallery, and by appointment in her studio in Los Angeles.

She has authored two books; “A Year in LA”; and “The Collections”, both available at www.blurb.com
Ms. Cirillo-Stanley uses both digital and film (medium format and 35 mm). She does her own printing and framing. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a Master’s Degree from California State University, Long Beach. She teaches photography to grade school students in a program she developed called “Fuzzy Pickles”!
