World Art Day is a day of international celebration of the arts. Celebrated annually on Leonardo da Vinci’s Birthday, it is a time for artistic endeavor. Visit a museum, support your favorite artist, come downtown and visit the galleries. Art Walk on Thursday, April 11 will kick off a weekend of celebration and affirmation of the arts in Los Angeles and all around the world. Be a part and celebrate the day andn the arts!

Featuring the design and distinct personality of each flower, this exhibit focusses on the nuance and particular persona expressed by each. In making the work I could hardly wait to print each piece to show the true spirit and grace inherent in every portrait! Some are elegant, others flashy, bitchy, hip or funny! I have been making this work for over 2 years and each season presents a new approach and collection.
Each subject was either found roadside, grown in my garden, or given as a gift. I could not photograph the piece if I did not immediately connect.
